The Italian 50+ course is specially designed for students over 50 who want to improve their Italian while discovering the culture and sights of Rome. For details of the Italian school in Rome please see ‘Learn Italian in Rome‘.

COURSE

The 4 lessons a day Italian course is designed for people who want to learn Italian and experience the local culture with other students of a similar age and with similar interests.

ACTIVITIES

In the morning you will take part in the Italian language group lessons according to your level. In the afternoon or evening you will enjoy cultural activities suggested by the school. Programme subject to change.

1° week: afternoon programme

  • Guided tour of ancient Rome;
  • Visit of famous historical sites (Coliseum, Palantine Hill, Forum Romanum, etc.);
  • Special dinner in Ancient Rome;
  • Guided visit of the Vatican Museums.

2° week: afternoon programme

The program of the One-Week-Course is followed by:

  • One day field trip to “Frascati’s” wineyards and its historical and artistic center with lunch in a typical ‘fraschetta’;
  • Visit of ‘Porta Portese’ Flee Market and Farmer Market;
  • Sunset visit of the Jewish ghetto;
  • Guided shopping “From the Market to the Table”;
  • Visit of Art Galleries.

ACCOMMODATION
You will be accommodated in an Italian host family in a single room with breakfast or half board. Alternatively there is hotel accommodation available. Please ask for details.
