The Spanish school in Cadiz is a modern school, situated in the best neighbourhood of Cadiz: Bahia Blanca, only a few metres from the beach, the old city walls and the town centre.

It is a spacious and light building with 8 fully-equipped classrooms with audio-visual systems, interactive whiteboards, and air-conditioning. Facilities also include a multimedia room, conference room, wheelchair access, video library, Wi-Fi and computers. The Spanish school provides a pleasant atmosphere for students to study in and ensures they receive plenty of personal attention. On top of everything we also have a large rooftop terrace where you can relax and chat with the other students.

Standard course

This short term course is suitable for students that want a general Spanish course focusing on the four key language skills: speaking, reading, writing and listening. Suitable for students with previous knowledge of Spanish or complete beginners that have a short time to learn Spanish in Cadiz.

Intensive course

Combined courses

Students follow the Standard Spanish course and have an extra 5 or 10 private lessons each week depending on how intensive a course they desire. Perfect for students that want the diversity of a group course but would like a few private lessons to focus on a specific area of the language, topic or exam.

Private tuition

Lessons can be tailored to the needs and requirements of the students, to a particular subject or focusing on a specific exam. Students can have private lessons on a 2 to 1 basis providing they are of a similar ability.

DELE preparation course

Students follow the Spanish Standard course with 10 lessons per week specifically tailored to DELE Exam preparation. DELE exams are held in May, August and November.

Spanish & Surf course

The Spanish School in Cadiz offers its students the chance to combine Spanish classes and surfing lessons. Students will receive 20 general Spanish intensive classes per week plus 2 lessons of 90 minutes per week. Some of the many beaches of Cadiz offer excellent conditions for surfers.

Spanish for 50+ course

The Spanish 50+ course focuses on the acquisition of Spanish languages skills for students 50 or over, through the most important traditions and cultural events of Spain. This course is a cultural and language holiday for students 50+ who are young at heart and wish to learn Spanish in Cadiz for leisure and personal enrichment. Accommodation

Host Family

This accommodation option suits students who want to immerse in everyday Spanish life and tradition, and enjoy family atmosphere and meals. The Spanish host families are selected on several criteria: location, quality of the lodging, furniture, equipment and food. Families are also selected on the basis of their hospitality and positive feedback from students.

This option is available as breakfast, half-board or full-board. Weekly laundry and cleaning is included. Although you will have your own keys to come and go as you please, you will have to respect some rules and schedules, especially for mealtimes. Some higher standard rooms with private bathroom are available on request.

Shared flat

Shared flats are offered to Spanish students by locals who are eager to share their apartment with our students. As with the home stay option, this accommodation is carefully selected on a variety of criteria. This option gives you freedom and gives you access to all facilities, kitchen, bathroom, etc. This formula is an excellent solution for those looking for independence, but who still wish to practice Spanish at home.

Student Residence

The student residence is located in the heart of the historical and commercial centres of Cadiz and within walking distance of the school.

The residence in Cadiz is an old building recently renovated, with modern equipment and furniture. It can house about 15 students: 3 double or triple rooms, 4 double rooms and 1 individual room.

A transfer service from Jerez, Seville or Malaga airport to your accommodation is available at an extra cost. Alternatively we can provide you with advice on travel.

Activities

Cadiz is the ideal place to experience the Spanish way of life due to the wide range of cultural activities it can provide. The Spanish school in Cadiz offers students a daily programme of social activities to help them discover the city and its history. This varied programme helps students to fit into their new lifestyle in addition to the language classes they receive. The vast majority of activities are free.

How to get to Cadiz

Airport pick-up service
The school provides a shuttle service for 60 € (one way), directly from the Jerez International airport to the accommodation.
The chauffeur will hold a sign with the student’s name on it. If the student does not see him, he should wait at Iberia luggage claim counter in the arrival hall.
NB: Should the student not arrive with the flight confirmed, and if changes of the arrival details are not received in the office by 13:00 on Friday, he/she will lose the transfer and will have to arrange an alternative transport to the accommodation. We recommend that the student takes a taxi.

Transfer from Seville airport: The school provides a shuttle service for 150 € (one way), directly from the Seville airport to the accommodation in Cadiz.

Transfer from Malaga airport: The school provides a shuttle service for 195 € (one way), directly from the Malaga airport to the accommodation in Cadiz.
During the summer, the price of the shuttle service from Malaga airport to the accommodation in Cadiz would be 50 € (one way).

By Plane

The nearest International airport is in Jerez de la Frontera (35km). The next ones are Seville (130km), Gibraltar (140km) and Malaga (250km).

From Jerez airport it is possible to take a taxi to your accommodation address. This costs approximately 50 € from Monday to Friday and 60 € at the weekend and public holidays.
There are buses from Jerez airport to Cadiz bus-station at 08.45h, 10.45h and 19.45h Monday to Friday (price 3 €).
And from Jerez airport to Cadiz bus-station at 09.30h, 12.30h, 16.30h and 20.30h at weekends and public holidays (price 3 €).
Buses from the airport to Jerez bus-station leave approximately every hour and a
half Monday to Friday and at 09.30h, 12.30h, 16.30h and 20.30h at weekends
and public holidays (price 1 euro). A taxi from the airport to the centre of Jerez
costs 13.50 € Monday to Friday and 17.00 euros at weekends.
Trains leave Jerez for Cadiz approximately every hour and cost 3.40 €.
There are flights from Jerez to Madrid, Barcelona, England and Germany and the
airport is constantly expanding.

From Sevilla airport you can take a bus or a taxi to the centre of Seville. A taxi costs 25 euros approx (20% supplement during Semana Santa and Feria).
Luggage is paid for separately. The bus costs 4 €.
There are buses leaving every two hours, from 07.00h to 22.00h, from the bus station at El Prado de San Sebastian in the centre of Seville for Cadiz, The journey takes less than two hours and costs 11.40 euros.

From Malaga airport: take a bus or a taxi to Malaga bus-station. There are four  direct buses from Malaga to Cadiz leaving at 07.30h, 13.30h, 15.30h and 20.00h.
The journey takes four hours (except for the early one which makes more stops) and costs approximately 20 euro.
Alternatively, you can take a bus to Seville and then a connection to Cadiz (see below). Buses from the bus-station in Malaga to the bus-station in Seville leave more or less hourly from 07.00h to 19.30h (to 21.00h at weekends). The journey takes about three hours and costs approximately 18 euros.

By train
Frequent trains run to Jerez and about hourly to Seville. A very convenient way to come in from Madrid is with the Talgo train that runs twice a day covering the distance in about 5 hours. There are four stops in Cadiz but the last stop, which gets into the terminal at Plaza Sevilla, is the best option.

By bus
Most long range buses are handled by Comes from Plaza de Sevilla. The main bus station can be found next to the train station on Plaza de Sevilla. There is also a stop in the new part of town, opposite the hospital. There are also daily buses to
Madrid handled by Sociobus that cost approximately €30. The bus station is on the right hand side as you leave Cadiz.

By car
From Madrid, Cordoba, Granada and Seville you can use the A4. Coming from Algeciras, take the N340 all the way along the coast past Conil and Chiclana, then follow the signs to Cadiz.
